Do you have any tabs or sheet music for the songs on your album A Sense of Place? I would like to try playing these beautiful songs. If so, where can I buy them?

Hi,
I play in a little jazz band playing background music for cocktail and dinner parties. We have a couple who are having us play at their wedding on 3/21. We will be playing as a 5 piece after the ceremony. Guitar, Violin,Sax/Clarinet, Bass and Drums. Before the ceremony we will play acoustic as they do not allow amps in the area we are playing. They have asked us to play Elysian Fields from you CD......Cool song....for their processional song. Can we buy the sheet music anywhere? We are going to have the violin and guitar play this as a duo. Thanks, Mike 480-326-3143 mike@jazzola.com (I tried emailing through the contact link but there was no email link)

Eric and Nancy,
I watched you perform at the Kirkland Performing Arts Center on January 17.
I don't recall having heard of you before then. But now am a devoted listener to your beautiful music. Thank you.

Twelfth Night in Langley was another wonderful conclusion to the holiday season. This time around, San Antonio Rose gave me the biggest smile (all the music on Leap of Faith is excellent, by the way). I don't recall hearing you play Little Drummer Boy before. It was beautiful. Gary is fondly remembered from your Give and Take shows. He and his bass fit in perfectly. Many thanks for a great show! We'll be there next year for number 25!

Nancy & Eric,
Truly your music in inspiring, relaxing, thought provoking, and above all things, magestic. I am 26 years old, and have been enjoying your music for over 15 years now. My parents came across "Give and Take" before we left South Florida to embark on a road trip beginning in Glacier Nat'l Park in Montana driving all the way down to the Grand Canyon hitting all major Nat'l parks along the way. I have moved since to Colorado and still have the CD myself, and it is the perfect combination for any relaxing road trip. Thank you for creating the music that I link to some of the best memories of my life. Traveling and relaxing would never have been the same. I'm so pleased that the Comcast Cable channel called Soundscapes, play your music as I get to hear pieces of yours that I have not heard before.
God bless and keep the music coming!

I wanted to let both of you know how much we enjoyed the concert in Langley last night. As always, it was a great way to usher in the new year.
My granddaughter was delighted to meet you.

Last August I bought four tickets to attend your recent concert at UW Parkside in Wisconsin. The tickets were for my husband and myself - and my sister, Nikki who recently moved her from Beverly, MA. I chose this concert because my sister plays the flute and her late husband played the guitar. Nikki lost her husband in a tragic accident two years ago and I thought hearing your beautiful music might bring comfort to her. Shortly before we were scheduled to leave, my husband fell on the ice and broke his arm. Rather than going by herself to the concert, my sister decided not to go - needless to say, we all missed the concert.
I know this is more information than you need but I'm writing to ask if you have plans to tour this part of the country again. I have purchased your Christmas CD for myself and my sister - but I'm hoping we can actually see you in person sometime.
Thanks

I have owned "THE GIFT" for many years, even when it was cassette, then CD. I always look forward to Christmas so I can play it, this holiday I have missplaced the CD and am so disappointed since it's no longer manufactured. Do you have any idea where I can get a copy of this most wonderful Christmas CD?
Very unhappy,

Hi Eric and Nancy! My sister Judy gave me your "Emerald" tape..yes tape..and I went out and bought the CD eventually. I think I had a vinyl version too. Anyway, this was ages ago...I used track 5 to march at my wedding in 1990. You have to know how much your music has inflenced my life and been a blessing. THanks!!

Hi Eric & Nancy! Another story of your music gracing an important occasion. I introduced my beloved to your music, and she enjoys it very much. We were married last Saturday, and we borrowed two songs for our reception: Magnolia (one of my handful of favourite songs in the world) and Secrets of the Big Sky (my wife is a wilderness camper).
Most telling, we also included Reverence at the end of our ceremony, right after a song of my own. An interesting circle, Nancy: your song, composed to honour a life completed, heralds this marriage and our new life together. Special music for a special day. Thank you both!

Thanks for the music both of you make!

A friend told me about Aria since we both like such melancholic melodies. Nancy I love your tone! It's so dark and mellow. If I didnt know any better, at some points some notes sound as if they were coming from an english horn!
I'm playing it on my EH. Is there any way I can get the sheet music for Aria?

I wish you would play more often here in Portland, especially @ parks like you used to do when first started out. I really enjoyed those times when I first started collecting all your CDs and going to your concerts. It was so relaxing to attend those concerts. Looking forward to a new CD.

I just happened upon your CD Acoustic Garden and have been listening to it, non-stop for 4 hours. I have not found a CD in the past year that compares to your captivating soul-searching harmonies. I plan to purchase more of your wonderful music. In my 20 some years of writing poetry, the last 15 months were dry until I heard your music. Thank you for getting my creative-juices flowing again. Do you ever have concerts in the Mid West? I live across the Ohio River (Cincinnati) in Nothern Kentucky. I would love to hear you in concert!

Thoroughly enjoyed your music, wit and humor at Wenatchee. Eric, at times it seems like you have more than six strings going on! I can't agree more with everybody here who wants you to re-release "The Gift" on CD. I have the original on a cassette..and although it still sounds pretty good, I don't know what I'd do if for some reason it had a future problem and I could no longer listen to it!!! "The Gift" is my MOST favorite recording to relax with, get into the spirit of Christmas and recall wonderful memories which I relive by hearing your music. Please, please, please consider re-releasing it for all of us long-time fans and new ones to come! You won't go wrong by doing so!!

You are awesome! Nancy, I'm trying to convince my wife to learn to play like you. Eric, I used one of your songs for an audition into a guitar music program. You two are an inspiration. If Bill and Melinda Gates will split the cost 50-50 (and why not?), I would be very interested in investing in a re-release of The Gift on CD next year. I had the wonderful opportunity to hear you in a concert in Hillsboro, Oregon a few years back. We Absolutely LOVED your concert at the First Presbyterian church in Roseburg last night! You put on such a talented & wonderful performance! Unbelieveable for little ol Roseburg to get Top talent and we have seen a lot of the great performers here vs California, since we retired in Roseburg 2 1/2 years ago. We regularly attend the First Presbyterian church and are in awe of the muscial abilities of several members of that church including Pastors Vicky & Dwayne Brown who make this church such a welcoming experience.

I just came upon your work recently when a friend shared a link to a YouTube clip of Empire Builder on the Acoustic Guitar Magazine's online discussion board. Not sure I can find a word that accurately describes your music - marvelous, fascinating, captivating all apply, but are not near enough.
I am also a fingerstyle guitarist, playing since '60 with some classical background. I'm guessing Eric and I are similar "vintage", with similar playing style - which is probably what got my attention. Plus I have done occasional duets with a dear lady friend, only she plays an alto sax.....quite enjoyable, but no comparison to you two.
Now that we've "met", I may have to email Eric myself and find out what he plays, as the tone and sustain are to die for. I will seek out and explore more of your music.....to another acoustic musician it is ear candy of the finest quality. Very much appreciated!

It was 20 years ago today... :)
... that Woodlands was released. Still one of the best "New Age" albums ever, and some of my favourite music of all. I come back to it over and over again. It's beautiful and restful, like taking a deep breath of fresh forest air. When I'm out in nature, this music is my inner soundtrack.
It's a real shame that Narada has allowed this gem to go out of print. They should give it a nice reissue and help it find a new generation of listeners - or at least let Eric & Nancy put it on iTunes!
Thanks Eric, Nancy & David, for this musical gift.

Hi...
Back in the early 90's I went back to college and took a music class. For extra credit we were instructed to go to one of your concerts. I was not thrilled with the idea as I had no clue to the artist or the music. I sat there that night with tears in my eyes though with the feelings the music brought to me. I bought your CD's that night, and went home and shared them with my wife. We have spent many years of peaceful moments in our home since listening to the music. I just wanted to thank you both.

Hi Nancy my name is Logan and first of all; I just wanted to say that you have been my inspiration for me on wantting to learn how to play oboe. well I'm in the band here in Beulah Alabama, or Opelika Alabama, and I play the Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax., Tenor sax., Bari. Sax., Trumpet, Baritone, and a little Trombone but I did not want to learn how to play oboe until my step-dad had me listen to some of your stuff and then that is when I wanted to learn how to play oboe, but right now i am having to play the Bari. Sax. because the Bari. Sax player we had became drum- major so my band director needed a bari. sax. player and nobody else knew how to play it but me so he put me on the bari. sax. and i also tried out for drum- major but i didn't make it but that's ok. i really want to learn how to play oboe so i'm trying to ask my parents if they would get me one but when i asked my mom she told me not right now and that i need to stick to one instrument but i really want to learn how to play oboe and i even have the fingering charts and everything. But i just wanted to e-mail you and let you know that you have been my inspiration.

Would you be preforming in any of these locations close to that date? If so, I'll try to plan my trip to match your event. If not, will you be in VA (DC area) this year?

I am always watching tour dates and locations for your concerts. Any chance you'll be coming to Thurston County in 2007? I've been waiting patiently for you to come back our way. Thank you.

I am desperately trying to find and purchase a CD of Nancy Rumbel's "Music To Celebrate Life" (an album to benefit the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation). I use the first piece, "Delight" for my preschool special education processional each May. Please write me back asap to let me know if there is anyway I can get a hold of that CD. Hallmark Company could not help me at all (it was sold through Hallmark a few years back). Thank you.

Hi, N & E
I love your version of "Johnny Appleseed" but I don´t know whether it was a single track or from an album . Any chance you could let me have the details? Many thanks.
Best regards

Dear Nancy,
How's this for a small world. I am a good friend of Jim Scotts and on day I was at a friends house whom I print/archive all of his artwork and saw your CD. I said I know her from Jim - and my friend James said "I created the art on this cover"!! - How about that!
I love your music! always have.

It just so happened that I had rented this little DVD from my local library called RAINBOW OF STONE. It's a documentary about the Grand Canyon, and that is a subject I can never seem to know enough about.
And 30 seconds into the opening, the music just really sounds familiar and I'm thinking, 'hey, I know who made this music'. And sure enough, a few seconds later it says music by Nancy Rumbel.
Naturally, I had to watch the DVD more than once just to enjoy the very fine music score. It would be wonderful if some of these pieces would find their way to a T&R CD in the future.
